What is a GeM login ID?

Your GeM login ID (User ID) is the username you created during registration. Once created, it can’t be edited.

Check your inbox for the GeM registration email first, or ask whoever set up your account.

How to find your GeM User ID

Way 1 – “Know Your User ID” (fastest)

  1. Open gem.gov.in and go to Raise a Ticket.
  2. Click Know Your User ID.
  3. Enter the mobile registered on GeM and the OTP. Your User ID is shown.

Way 2 – Your registration email

Search your inbox and spam for emails from GeM sent when you registered.

Way 3 – GeM helpline

Call 1800-419-3436 with your personal PAN and company PAN ready. GeM helpline guide

How to reset your GeM password

  1. On gem.gov.in click Login, then Forgot your GeM password?
  2. Enter your User ID and the CAPTCHA.
  3. Open the reset link in your registered email (check spam).
  4. Set a new password and log in with the same User ID.
Password rules: 8–20 characters with at least one uppercase, one lowercase, one number and one special character.

Reset link not coming? Check spam; make sure you typed the User ID, not your email; if the registered email is old, call the helpline to update it; wait a few minutes before requesting again.

Tricky situations

Registered mobile number changed

Call the helpline with your personal PAN, business PAN and registration details, then raise a ticket to update the mobile.

A consultant created the account and isn’t responding

The account belongs to your business. Recover the User ID with your registered mobile or via the helpline, then reset the password and update email and mobile to ones you control.

I’m a secondary user

Ask your primary user (owner/director, or head of department for buyers) to help with your access.

Don’t create a new account on the same PAN to get around a lost login; it leads to duplicate-account problems.
